Bachelor Thesis / Internship: Performance study of solenoid and mechanical valves

Who we are

We are deltaVision GmbH. We develop, produce, and qualify fluid control systems for aerospace and H2 mobility. In 2022, we founded the company to become a premium supplier of cryogenic- and high-pressure sub-systems. We disrupt the market with innovative products, cost-effectiveness, and lead time that no traditional player has ever seen. With our knowledge on fluid-control for space systems we are shaping the space economy towards refuelable and re-usable spacecrafts.

Your mission

Within this project, you will: 

  • Collect all the data on previous test campaigns performed on the different solenoid and mechanical valves already produced by the company 
  • Create a database containing all the configurations of these products and their performance (the format of the database is to be determined) 
  • Identify the gaps in the performance testing of the products 
  • Implement test plans and execute the testing procedures to complete the database 

Your profile

  • Currently enrolled student in a relevant engineering / science discipline (for example mechanical / aerospace engineering, physics or equivalent) 
  • Motivated, pragmatic, and self-organized personality 
  • Curiosity for spaceflight and space propulsion 
  • Eager to take responsibility 
  • Good knowledge in fluid systems design and test is appreciated 
  • Hands-on mindset for hardware and software-related activities (inspection, assembly, testing) 
  • Fluency in English or German; further languages are appreciated
